It's Election Day...

 It’s Election Day.

Pray for America:

Regardless of who you’re voting for, I urge you to pray for our country. Everyone has different opinions and votes, and that’s okay! However, our country needs prayer. Pray for the United States. Pray for the election. & pray for our future president, new or old. God has a perfect plan in place, and I believe that regardless of the outcome He will fulfill what He has promised.

Fear:

I think more than ever before mental health and anxiety is all too common in our generation. I’ll be the first to tell you that I struggle with anxiety and depression on a daily basis. However, a book in scripture that I have studied and leaned on is Philippians. A little background...the author of the book is Paul, who is currently in prison! He is writing to the Philippians by encouraging them to have faith and joy in Jesus. He reminds the them to praise Jesus no matter the circumstance. Now, if Paul can have faith in God while in prison, we can certainly lean on him during this election season. Between the election and pandemic, it has caused fear to arise, but I’m here to remind you that God has a plan! Don’t let fear lead your life, give it to God and He will guide you.

“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” Ephesians‬ ‭4:32‬ ‭‬‬

“O Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you; I will praise your name, for you have done wonderful things, plans formed of old, faithful and sure.” Isaiah‬ ‭25:1‬‬‬

“do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭

I love you all, and stay safe & healthy during this election! If you need someone to talk to about anxiety & depression, I’m just a message away. With love, hp

My Testimony

Hello everyone, my name is Hannah, and this is my story. I’m a college student, artist, sister, and daughter, but most importantly, I’m a born-again Christian. What is a Christian? A Christian is a follower of Jesus Christ. Christians believe that Jesus came into this earth perfect, flawless, and lived a sinless life. Jesus not only lived a perfect life, but He sacrificed Himself for us and rose from the grave three days later. Jesus is the Son of God who created you and me and has sacrificed His Son for His children in hopes that we would believe in Him. This is what was instilled in my family ever since I could remember. I live with my loving parents and my older brother who are also Christians, and at the age of four years old, I also surrendered my life to Jesus. I wanted to know, experience, and live out that same forgiveness and love that Jesus offered the rest of my family. Life, however, has its ups and downs. Christians are viewed as perfect people who have no fear or ...

When was the last time you did something for the first time?

Unpopular opinion: Pinterest is one of the superior social media platforms.   I have far too many pins to count and have grown a flourishing collection of aesthetic images and cute outfits. On Pinterest is where I find both faith-based and generic quotes. I like to save these pins to a specific board so that one day I can go back and make it my phone lock-screen or write them in my calligraphy style. Often enough, quotes will stand out to me. In this case, I have heard this quote from multiple different platforms, and every single time I see it, I ask myself the question:  When was the last time you did something for the first time? I have had a lot going on in my life the last month; things I would never like to experience again and situations that made me strong. During that time, I realized my anxiety about focusing on the future. I have struggled with this since my senior year of high school, and I think this battle never really went away. Over the last six m...

2023 Word of the Year

2023 = Confidence   After thinking over different words for a few weeks, I have settled on  Confidence  for my 2023 Word of the Year. The word I chose for 2022 perfectly fit the phases of my life I was going through and how I wanted to respond to those situations with  Kindness . In 2023 I want to carry on the progress I have already worked on from 2022 by finding godly confidence in all I do and who I am. In other words, I want to become confident in Christ and who God is creating me to be. With the plans set before me in 2023, this year will push me beyond my comfort zone, and I pray I will experience confidence in God's plan and my self-image. Typically when I choose a word, I want it to relate to Scripture; otherwise, my choice is in vain. Here are a few Scripture verses that came to mind when picking Confidence . Hebrews 13:6 "So we can confidently say, "The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?" Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things th...
